Weekly Roundup 15: Get low
This week started with 'Blue Monday' - sadly (for me) not a shopping event, but apparently the day when we hit rock bottom.
The glow of a Christmas rest has worn off, the resolve for our new year resolutions is running low, and anything fun (payday, sunny weather, the next special occasion) is too far away to look forward to.
I wouldn't go as far as to call it "the saddest day of the year", not half because I think a slump can occur any time of year. But it did get me thinking, what do you do get to out of a slump - the kind that hits a whole household (and feels a lot like self-isolation!) and you have to shake things up. Let me know by hitting 'Reply'!
This week, a few things that may or may not work: a second rendition of Village People, mixing up bath time routines, still pushing ahead with that new year refresh, and some ideas for a days trips out of London!

Why does your toddler no longer like bath time?
It actually has nothing to do with January blues, and is totally normal, caused by anything from sensory overload to worries about soap in their eyes.
Have a read here about ways you can mix up the toys and tools you use, or the routine itself, to help little ones get over this bubble time aversion.
Hello, it's me
As you saw last week, we're starting a series looking at the amazing grown ups and role models that help raise kids. It only seems right that, as we're profiling the proverbial village, we start local. So this week's Village People is all about yours truly.
The cliff notes version - I'm amazing and the children, they love me :)
How's the wardrobe clear out going
A couple of weeks ago we talked about refresh projects at home. Soon after someone recommended a site called Vinted to me, where you can buy and sell second-hand clothes, and other things.
Three great things about it:
a) There's no seller fees,
b) iIt's very easy to upload items
c) There's a hefty childrenswear section.
I signed up last week and have sold a couple of things so far. Check it out! (This is not a referral link).
Get outta here
Unsurprisingly, we spend less time outside in the winter.
It might not fix everything, but if you have the time, consider just packing some lunches, popping on your wellies, and heading out of the city, even if just for a day.
Here's a great list of 20 ideas for great days out, including the seaside, historic towns, great food, and a little royalty.
And now 'Le word' game taking Twitter by storm.
Let's be honest, you've nothing better to do than give it a go and waste your time jumping late onto a trend (like Brook)
